2020 MERIT BASED COURSES UNDER DELHI UNIVERSITY


MERIT BASED ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

STEP 1

The applicants have to go to the official website of Delhi University and register in the Undergraduate Admission Portal. To register, it is necessary to have an email

And then to fill the admission registration form.

In the admission registration form, the applicant can select the course according to their choice and the applicant is also allowed to choose all the courses.

Documents required:

(a) Class X certificate

(b) Class XII certificate

(c) Relevant reservation certificate issued by the competent authority

(d) Self-attested copies of requisite certificates for admission under sports/ ECA

Category

(e) Link of the uploaded clip for admission against music

(f) Photo identity card (Aadhar Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Voter Identity

Card, Passport or School Identity Card)

 

 STEP2

After this, the applicant has to pay the fees of the registration form, the fee of the registration form is paid online. You can pay the fees with a credit card or debit card. The applicant is requested to keep a record of this transaction which includes the transaction ID and all the details of net banking.

 STEP3

After the result of class XII, the applicant will be given one more chance to make minor changes and to update their marks in the admission form and this will be the last chance. After this, any kind of change cannot be done in the admission form.

STEP4

 Delhi University will upload the first cutoff. After that, whichever college and course the applicant chooses

They have to go to the official website of that college and download the separate college form of that particular course from there.

 

After this, you have to take all the documents with the College application form in that college on the the date is given by the college authorities.

All your documents will be verified by the college authorities, and if all your documents and correct, you will get admission in that college and in that course, but you have to submit the fees of that college online within 24 hours.

If the fees are not paid within 24 hours, then your admission will be canceled.

BA Hons English  

 

 

   πŸ‘‰  an aggregate of 45% or more in the qualifying examination the merit shall be determined based on one language and 3 best academic/elective subjects.

   πŸ‘‰ the applicant must have studied and passed English in the qualifying exam and should include English for calculation of best four percentage

BA Hons Hindi

 

   

πŸ‘‰An the aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination.

 πŸ‘‰ applicant securing 40% marks in the aggregate and 50% marks in the subject concerned are also eligible for admission to the relevant Honours course.

 πŸ‘‰The merits shall be determined based on one language and three best academic elective subjects.

πŸ‘‰The applicant must have studied and passed Hindi in the qualifying exam and should include Hindi for calculation of best for percentage.

  πŸ‘‰An the applicant who has passed the intermediate examination of an Indian University/Board with at least 40% marks in the aggregate and also Prabhakar in Hindi shall be eligible for admission.

BA Hons Sanskrit

 

      

 πŸ‘‰  an aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination.

 πŸ‘‰ applicant securing 40% marks in the aggregate and 50% marks in the subjects concerned are also eligible for admission to the relevant Honours course.

 

 πŸ‘‰An an applicant who has passed the intermediate examination of an Indian University/Board with at least 40% marks in the aggregate and also Shastri in Sanskrit shall be eligible for admission.

 πŸ‘‰ For admission to Honours in any language course advantage of 2% in the best four the percentage will be given to those applicants who have studied that particular elective language.

 πŸ‘‰ in case the applicant has not studied the language at qualifying exam and is seeking admission to Honours in that language  deduction of 5% will be imposed on best for percentage.

BA honours history  / political science / sociology

         

 πŸ‘‰An an aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination.

πŸ‘‰The merit shall be determined on the bases of one language and three best academic elective subjects.

BA Hons economics

 

       

πŸ‘‰  an aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination.

πŸ‘‰ the merits will be determined based on one language and three best academic/elective subjects.

πŸ‘‰ The applicant must have studied and passed Mathematics at the qualifying exam for admission to BA Honours in economics.

BA Programme( discipline  subject-based               admission criteria)

 

 

πŸ‘‰ an aggregate of 40% marks in the qualifying examination

 πŸ‘‰ the merit shall be determined based on one language and three best academic/elective subjects. one language ( core / elective/functional)

πŸ‘‰Any three elective subjects can be chosen. a deduction of up to 5% on best 4 the percentage may be imposed if there is a change of stream for admission to BA Program .which means either from commerce stream or science stream to arts /             Humanities / social sciences.

 πŸ‘‰If more than one non listed subject is included for calculation of best four, a deduction of 2.5 % each in best four may be levied in addition to the deduction due to the change of stream if any.

Note

One non-listed subject besides the elective subjects in lists A and B can be included in the calculation of best 4 without any deduction.

πŸ‘‰ an aggregate of 45% or more in English / Hindi and combination of best three among the following subject: mathematics, accountancy, economics, and business studies/ commerce.

 πŸ‘‰ Inclusion of any subject from list B  other than Mentioned above in the combination of the best three will lead to A reduction of 1%    per the subject on the aggregate.

πŸ‘‰ Inclusion of any subject other than those in list A and B in the combination of the best three will lead to a deduction of 2.5% a per subject on the aggregate of best four.

 πŸ‘‰55%  for more marks in the aggregate of physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology ( practical and theory together) and passing marks in one compulsory language, therefore, English with 50% marks.

 

 

11.

 

 BSc Honors chemistry/physics

 

 

 

 πŸ‘‰ The overall percentage in physics, chemistry, and mathematics should be 55% and one compulsory language with 50% marks.

 

12.

 

 BSc program

( physical science with chemistry)

 

       

 πŸ‘‰45%  or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, chemistry/computer science, Mathematics( practical and theory together) and passing marks in one compulsory language therefore English.

 

13.

 

BSc program

(physical science with computer science)

 

        

 

 πŸ‘‰ 45%  or more marks in the aggregate of three subjects physics, chemistry/computer science, Mathematics( practical and theory together) and 40%  in one compulsory language.
